Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in 2009. The group is made up of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow and Logan Henderson. They signed their first contract with Nick Records
in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new label. They were
featured in Nickelodeon's TV show, Big Time Rush. The show aired from November
28, 2009, to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode featured "Big Time
Rush" the group's first single as a promotional track. The group released
three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011), and 24/Seven (2013). The
band went on an indefinite break in 2014 that ran until 2021. they returned to
live performances and released their single "Call It Like I See It".
Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were
simultaneously airing the television series Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also
joined forces with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is
original. The show's debut single, "Big Time Rush" came out on November
29, 2009. Officially revealed on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S.
November 2009 and was later broadcast worldwide. The theme song was included in
an introduction to the series for one hour and is the show's first tune. The
series also saw release of promotional singles such as "City is Ours"
and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song
"Famous" and was written by the singer. The song came out on iTunes
on June 29 2010. The song's second, "Halfway There", was also
released to iTunes shortly after the premiere of the show. The song quickly
became their first hit song to be charted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at
number 93 due to the sales of digital music. To celebrate the release of their
debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About You" on
September 21st, 2010. On October 11, 2010 the album, dubbed BTR was released to
the public. It debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000
copies within its first week.
