Emma Stone

Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was born on November 6 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), the homemaker, and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a contractor company founder and CEO. She is of Swedish as well as British Isles heritage. Stone began acting in the ages of a child, as a part of the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". Through her teens, she participated in various other productions until she decided to make acting her career. As per the official story, she presented a PowerPoint slide show sponsored by Madonna's Hollywood and was dubbed "Project Hollywood" in an effort to persuade her parents to allow her to quit school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch, and then moved to LA. Her education was done at home, and she spent her time auditioning. She made her TV debut in 2004 when she was cast in the role as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 talent/reality program In Search of the Partridge Family. The show was followed by a number of smaller TV parts in the years that followed. Her movie debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and, after a string of successful performances, her leading part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a major star. She attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. Although she is known as a redhead, her real shade is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested she change her hair color for Superbad (2007) and she loved it so much that she decided to keep the color. At age 15, she convinced her parents she was able to move to Hollywood. The way she did this was by making an PowerPoint presentation titled Project Hollywood. When she was 11 she started her acting career in the Valley Youth Theatre, Phoenix, AZ. There, she performed in sixteen stage productions, and also performed in the comedy troupe of improv. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at Valley Youth Theatre.
