Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theatre actor writer, director and writer, as is her mother, Sara Wood, is an actor as well as acting coach. She has two brothers: Dana Wood, who is a musician and Ira David Wood IV, who has also performed. Evan and her brothers often performed at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh.
