Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood. Britney was a dancer when she was a kid and has won numerous contests in gymnastics. Britney was a superb dancer and singer. Britney applied for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. The show was not accepted due to her young age. Then, she was directed to "Ruthless" which was an off-Broadway production, in which she appeared in the role of the title persona for two years. At the age of 11 she tried again for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) and was this time able to make it as a mouseketeer along with numerous stars of today (Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez from *NSYNC as well as Ryan Gosling). In the late 90s Britney was signed by Jive Recording Artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as in July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that came out in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has an older brother Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was destined to be famous from a young age. Britney loved singing and was influenced by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) when she was eight. But she was not old enough to be accepted. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister moved to New York where she starred in numerous TV advertisements and an off-Broadway production, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. Two years later the passion for dance and music took over. She auditioned again to be a part of "Mickey Mouse" and was picked along with Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake.
