Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to study elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in the events.
